The Curve is the solution for high speed and interval work, as well as group training. High intensity intervals are made easy when there are no buttons to reach for to increase or decrease speed; this also makes for quick transitions during group training.
HOW IT WORKS
The non-motorized Curve is made possible by WOODWAY’s patented running surface. The Slat Belt system is near frictionless, which allows the belt to glide smoothly. Combine that with an innovative curved running surface and suddenly users are able to control their pace at will. To speed up, simply start running, to slow down, allow yourself to drift down the curve. It is all about body position and gravity.
LOWEST COST OF OWNERSHIP
The Slat Belt running surface lasts up to 240,000 miles without a single belt change or deck swap. With 112 ball bearings, the belt glides smoothly, which results in years of life with very little maintenance and zero electrical consumption. There is no need to adjust the tension of the belt because our design utilizes tracking rollers and a toothed pulley. Also, because it is non-motorized, there are no electrical components to be replaced.

| Brand | Woodway’s Engineers set out to develop a safe and comfortable running surface for people that also reduced the friction and wear associated with the conventional conveyor belt style treadmill. To do this, they started with a ball-bearing transportation system and then created an entirely new slat style running surface. This combined system provides a running surface of 38-43 type A shore hardness, which was found by the Deutsche Sporthochschule in Cologne, Germany to be the ideal softness to eliminate the harmful shock to connective tissue while not changing proper biomechanics. Additionally, the low friction ball bearing transportation system alleviates the forces to all mechanical and electrical parts, resulting in less wear, less maintenance, fewer repairs, lower electric bills, and a longer overall treadmill life. |
